"Soundtracks for the Dying Moments" was carefully composed with the attention towards every small detail. It resembles a kind of musical storytelling. It was crucial to create it as a story with memorable scenes, something like a movie to listen to. I spent a lot of time trying to figure out the one and only logic of the sequences-compositions. I’m glad that people are coming back to traditional records and magnetic tapes which is a more holistic way of listening.

"Tytułowa śmierć to w tym wypadku raczej jakiś rodzaj transformacji, album nie jest w żadnym razie przygnębiający, choć z całą pewnością ma charakter tripu, podróży, choćby i w głąb siebie. Pod tym względem wsysa coraz mocniej, im bliżej do finału. Rafał Iwański mówi o tym, że zależało mu na ułożeniu tych instrumentalnych nagrań w jedną dźwiękową opowieść. Mnie z kolei ujęło to, że stworzył album niezwykle różnorodny – że każdy element tej opowieści, każdy rozdział, to zupełnie inny nastrój i inne barwy. Szacunek budzi tu nie tyle sama lista źródeł dźwięku, co sposób ich rozplanowania na całej płycie – nie przeszkadzają tu sobie i nigdy nie tworzą bezstylowej magmy."

The eponymous ‘death’ is, in this case, rather an act of transformation, the album isn’t depressing but has a feeling of a trip, a journey deep inside one’s mind and soul. It’s absorbing more and more while approaching to the finale. Rafał Iwański told us he wanted to arrange these instrumental tracks into one sonic tale. I’m glad he created an album which is so extremely diverse, that each part of this tale, each chapter, has totally different mood and overtones. The list of sound sources and their arrangement on the whole album is impressive – they don’t disturb each other but create a perfect amalgam of genres.”

This is the contemporary face of electroacoustic music. The compositions wave, they lure the listeners, they draw them closer and closer to fade suddenly. The atmosphere is quite sombre but skilfully built - the music entwine the listener like dry ice. There are no weak moments. "Soundtracks" captures one's attention all the time. A candidate for the 2012 album of the year? Sounds banal, but it definitely is."
